BATHYMETRY AND PICTORIAL AIDS MAP

 

Bathymetry and Pictorial Aids Map of Lake project was completed in 2006. Maps are a single-sided hi-res color, printed on dry polyproline paper. Style 'A' is a Bathymetry and sounding Map of the depth of the Lake with a Topo overlay. This Map is best used for Fisherman or recreational diving. Style 'B' has all the marking locations for the Buoys, Islands, Bay & Brook inlets, local Landmarks, conto​ur depth scale with a Satellite topo view of the entire Lake including Flint Pond. This Map is best used for the general boating public. Color and B&W large one-sided mural Maps are also available. There has not been an official Map of Lake Quinsigamond in over 60 years. Maps are now available to the public. Map Sonar Data and Bathymetry information gathered by Chris Wright of CR Enviromental, and final layout design done by Bill Latimer, WCSAR Team Incorporated. Map area covers all of Lake Quinsigamond and Flint Pond to the south. To order a Map, call or Email your request. Each Map sold through this Site will have a brief History of Lake Quinsigamond, previous Island Names and old Boat Clubs Organizations with some old pictures. The cost of printing these Hi-Res Maps is very expensive and we cannot order in bulk quanity, we are currently searching other methods to print these Maps and reduce the cost in the future. Maps are made to order and sent out USPS in a Map tubing container. Order process take NLT 2 weeks and shipped from Fernandina Beach, Florida Post Office.

 

Update as of 18 July 2013: I was able to get a price break on the Polyproline Paper by a few Dollars for Style 'A' and 'B'; however, the 'Tacklebox' folding style Map is more expensive to print on bonded paper that folds. Polyproline does not fold. This surprised me and this Map may not be cost effective, but there are those that have contacted me wanting a Map that folds. This is the best we can do for now and will continue to look for ways to reduce the price of printing these Maps in the future.
